Ingreadient

    • 1/4 cup bacon fat
    • 3 1/2 cups light brown sugar
    • 2 cups tomato puree (not sauce)
    • 2 cups apple cider vinegar
    • 1 cup water
    • 1/2 cup yellow mustard
    • 1/2 cup molasses
    • 1/4 cup honey
    • 6 oz tomato paste
    • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
    • 1 tbsp liquid smoke
    SPICES
    • 2 tbsp kosher salt
    • 2 tbsp celery seeds
    • 2 tbsp garlic powder
    • 2 tbsp onion powder
    • 1 tbsp ground black pepper
    • 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
    • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
    • 1 tsp curry powder

Direction

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat melt the bacon fat.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Turn heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring often. Sauce will thicken. Puree in blender or use hand immersion blender if you prefer a smoother sauce.
  3. Let cool before using.
