Pimento Cheese Recipe

Description

A Southern classic, pimento cheese is the ultimate savory spread with a bit of sweetness and heat for balance. Delicious on sandwiches and crostini or as a dip for crackers and veggies, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy this creamy, cheesy masterpiece.

Ingreadient

    • 4 oz pimento peppers drained and rinsed 
    • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
    • 1/4 cup mayonaise
    • 4 oz cream cheese softened
    • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
    • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
    • 1/4 tsp white pepper
    • 2 slices cooked bacon crumbled (optional)
    SERVING
    • 1 box of crackers of choice or toasted baguette slices

Direction

  1. In a medium bowl mix all of the ingredients by hand or with hand mixer until combined. I highly recommend not in a food processor as it will over puree, you'll want some texture.
  2. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour before serving. Spread on crackers of choice (or toasted baguette slices) or with sliced vegetables for scooping. I add a few pieces of cooked bacon on top, optional.
  3. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
